Jambalaya Park is a great place to take the kids during the summer. There are two pavilions with open seating, and a third that is open on occasion. I've seen toddlers up through primary school aged children have fun here for hours. Bring snacks and lots of sunscreen, for the playground especially. There is a pool, but be sure to bring cash if you'd like to swim. I believe it's $3 per visitor, but there are memberships available.
The playground equipment is in dire need of maintenance. Find another playground if you want a nice safe place for your kids to play. There is a splash pad and public pool along with an amphitheater that are nice.
My kids like playing at jambalaya.. We haven't been in while.. We loved also looking at the fountain.
Beautiful park. Nice quiet place to have lunch. Play area for children with playground equipment . Spash park during summer months.
