My review is mainly for the Archery Department. Fantastic service. I hadn't been back there in months and Frank remembered my name, what bow I used, and what products I had previously purchased when I walked up. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in getting me the products and information I needed. He was also good for a quick conversation about bow hunting. Highly recommend them for your hunting needs. Only issue I have ever encountered with Cabela's would be their registers have gone down the last 2 times I have been there.
I’m not a sportsman, so I cannot comment on that. I’ve visited for the food, sweet roasted pecans, and to see the amazing animal exhibits. Good views!
We get there after driving 3 1/2 hours and we were told that SHE could NOT register it in HER name because I had it sent to the Gonzales store on my name. Yes, SHE being the purchaser & owner of the firearm, the gun SHE will carry w/ her CHL. WOW! Their rule. Ridiculous to say the least. I was NEVER told of this frivolous rule and lost all cost sending to Gonzales store. We immediately canceled our Cabela's Credit Visas. Perfect example of Horrible Big Chain Store Bully.......

Found a handgun for my girlfriend at another Cabela's out of state, so had them ship it to Gonzales store for her. I being a LEO & Firearms Instructor researched finding the handgun, paid to simply send to another Cabela's store. We planed our drive to our In-State store to register & purchase her handgun.
Love the smell of the pecans cooking! Very helpful gentleman named Greg in fishing dept.! This store is always clean when we come here! I enjoy the clearance section! Every time we travel to New Orleans we have to stop by to see the newest/latest things.
