Having never shopped at Big Lots before, I always assumed that this store as a junk store. After having shopped here many times now, I find that they carry many brand name items that I purchase at a lower cost than Walmart or other stores. This is not a high-end store, but you can find some good deals on everyday products. They will often run a 20% off sale once a quarter and you can save a lot.
Really nasty area to deliver in. Certainly learned my lesson to never spend the night here. It simply is not safe and is very dirty. Have not seen one cop in the hours I've been here either.

There is trash everywhere. And I do mean everywhere. It appears the employees of various businesses are unable to put trash in the dumpsters, so they create piles on the ground and in carts sitting next to the dumpsters. I spotted a lot of carts in the tall weeds also. It's a mess. While walking by Walmart I came across a line of trash bags people have dumped along a fence line. Really nasty here. No one cares to be clean.
Also, the a-holes who live in this city purposely drive to the back of the strip mall, stop next to the parked tractor in the dock, and honk their horn multiple times. What morons here! It happened twice with two different cars. Disrespectful little sh*ts representing southern LA. You people should be so proud. There is a lot of noise from Walmart's parking lot with the ghetto fabulous squealing their tires leaving the lot like they're hardcore. Yeah, I grew up in a bad ghetto and that's nothing.
Interesting inventory and kind customer service.
Nice employees to deal with as a delivery driver, normally. I will find out tomorrow, but I have high hopes because staff at Big Lots is always professional. However, I give only 2 stars due to the location. I arrived the night prior to my delivery. There are no security lights in the dock area. The little bit of orangey-yellow lights they have at a next door business aren't bright enough to provide any semblance of security whatsoever, so I'm thankful I carry a weapon and high powered flashlight when walking the dog.
